About me
Hello my name is Liam Allen. I am a Colorado University of Boulder student studying art practices. I am originally from the rocky coast of Maine. Throughout my life I have always been creative. I used to doodle in my notebooks during classes for as long as I can remember. My biggest inspiration was my grandmother who was an artist that specializes in printmaking. She always loved my works and someday I hope I can be as talented as her. I always enjoyed art classes and creating things. When I was a kid I would spend hours on PictoChat and flipbook on my Nintendo DS. Once I got a laptop I found myself making digital drawings and animations. It was a simple puppet stop motion animation app, but I always loved the results. For this Digital Art 2 class I look forward to honing my skills in all forms of digital art. I hope to get better at animation, but I have other interests as well. I love making and editing videos. When I was younger YouTube was getting popular so I wanted to try it out and make videos. It ranged from vlogs from amusement parks to me impersonating Bear Grylls and running around the woods. It was always satisfying to edit the video and see the production unfold. Before I got into digital art I used to draw, either sketchers or pastels and I loved to paint. Mostly acrylic and watercolor landscapes. I got my love for nature by growing up in the woods of Maine and I love capturing its beauty through art. As the future approaches with digital art becoming increasingly popular and ever changing I hope I can make some works I am proud of.
